How do I properly anchor my swing set?
Anchoring is essential to prevent tipping and keep playtime safe. Here's a general guide:
- Use ground stakes or anchor kits. Drill through the base and secure with bolts.
Twist-in stakes are often used. - Align the anchor with the leg and secure with bolts.
Always pair anchoring with a shock-absorbing ground surface like rubber mulch or EWF to minimize impact injuries.
What type of ground surface is best under a swing set?
Creating a safe and comfortable play zone starts from the ground up. Here are some great options to consider:
- Offers excellent shock absorption, resists weeds, and requires little upkeep.
- Soft, budget-friendly, and great at cushioning falls. It may need an occasional top-up.
- A playful, soft surface kids love. Just plan on smoothing it out regularly.
- Good drainage and low maintenance, but make sure it's deep enough for safety.
- A lush, lawn-like feel that’s soft underfoot when properly padded.
- Top-tier in impact protection, though it's a more premium option.
Whichever surface you choose, ensure it meets safety guidelines, stays free of debris, and is routinely inspected for wear.
Can I move the slide to a different spot?
We’re all about creative spaces—but when it comes to swing set design, every detail is carefully planned for safety and balance. For that reason, we can’t support changes like relocating the slide. Rest assured, our original configurations are tested and certified to give your family the safest, most fun experience possible.
Can I add accessories like monkey bars or a spiral slide?
We totally get the urge to customize! However, our swing sets are designed and tested as complete units. For safety and ASTM certification, we don't recommend adding features that aren’t part of the original setup. Your child’s safety is always our top priority.
Can I swap in a toddler swing or web swing?
Definitely! Most of our swing sets are designed with a quick-link system, making it simple to add toddler or web swings. Just be sure the size of the swing fits the space—oversized web swings might cause bumps between busy little swingers.
